At Thresher Artisan Wheat, we provide high-grade, quality wheat for demanding consumer food ingredients, all while improving our grower’s yields in an environmentally and financially sustainable way. 

Thresher was formed after Agspring’s acquisition of the former General Mills grain operations in Newdale, Blackfoot, American Falls, Rockford, Idaho Falls and Pocatello, ID. We pride ourselves in our long-standing history as a vital partner in Idaho’s wheat supply chain. Retaining 100 percent of the employees and their expertise, Agspring ensured continuation of existing regional and industry-wide partnerships with seed suppliers and producers. Thanks to these deep roots, we’re able to purchase high-yield varieties of wheat at sustainable prices and efficiently facilitate supply chain integration with producers and milling partners.

Wheat is viewed as an ingredient at Thresher, not as a commodity like many in our industry do. Providing seeds to produce consistent, high-quality, high-performance wheat is our highest priority. Considered one of the largest Identity Preserved programs in the U.S., more than 90 percent of the grain purchased through our facilities is identity preserved. 

From careful seed selection and stringent testing to cleaning, conditioning and storage, our commitment to quality and consistency ensures that our grain will best accomplish our customers’ needs year after year.
