Threadloom is a Mountain View, California-based technology company operating in the information and internet sector. Its flagship product, Primary, is a browser extension that surfaces discussions about products from forums and presents them to shoppers through a streamlined interface. The system is supported by the Threadloom data engine, which maps billions of forum posts across hundreds of thousands of interest categories from more than a thousand forums to reach hundreds of millions of users. In addition to the extension, publisher widgets deliver targeted product insights to shoppers on a broad scale. The company serves online shoppers seeking authentic perspectives drawn from community discussions, helping them access product insights that are often buried in forums. In 2021, Threadloom was acquired by VerticalScope, and continues to operate under its parent company, which has supported its focus on forum communities.
