The Steward School is a JK-12 coeducational independent school in Richmond, Virginia, delivering a college-preparatory program that aims to prepare students for both higher education and life within a community defined by strong academics, engagement, and care. Small classes and individualized attention underpin its approach, complemented by a wide range of extracurriculars, on-campus tutoring, after-school care, summer programs, interdisciplinary projects, and innovative minimesters that include internships and opportunities to travel. It serves about 715 students with an average class size of 12 and a student-to-faculty ratio of 8 to 1, and it offers an array of athletics, arts, community service, and clubs.

 The 37-acre campus houses multiple academic and performance facilities, including the Bryan Innovation Lab and a $10 million Center for the Arts, as well as a comprehensive athletic center, several athletic fields, a baseball stadium, and tennis courts. The school is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. In July 2024, The Steward School announced a leadership change in its development office following a capital campaign and fundraising achievements.
