The Scholarship Academy is a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, that runs a scholarship preparation program within the education administration field. It delivers curriculum-based activities aimed at low-income, first-generation students to understand and navigate the financial aid system, including negotiating aid packages and managing awards, and identifying private scholarship opportunities beyond TSA's direct support. The program seeks to reduce debt and improve graduation prospects, with the broader aim of narrowing opportunity gaps and disrupting cycles of poverty in underserved communities. The organization operates with a small staff. In its role within the education administration landscape, TSA collaborates with partner organizations to expand access to financial aid information and resources for students. A notable recent development is its August 2023 partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta to launch the Reverse Scholarship Program; earlier collaborations with GEAR UP Georgia at Savannah State University and Breakthrough Atlanta supported FAFSA completion initiatives and related scholarship navigation efforts.
