The Parenting Connection of Monterey County is a small organization in the Individual and Family Services sector, based in Marina, Monterey County, California. It supports parents and caregivers by providing research-based education and guidance aimed at nurturing young children. Its Play and Learn Playgroups (PAL) bring parents and children aged 0-5 together for a weekly two-hour session led by a professional parent educator. The PAL program serves families with young children and strives to increase parental resilience, broaden social connections, share knowledge of parenting and child development, and support children's social and emotional development. The organization describes PAL as the only parent-education playgroup in Marina and, at times, on the Monterey Peninsula to accommodate working families. In February 2025, Mission Community Services Corp. partnered with The Parenting Connection of Monterey County to provide business development training for birth doulas.
