It was founded in 1993 by Lawrence F. O’Brien, III and Nicholas Calio and was originally named O’Brien♦Calio. When Mr. Calio returned to the Bush White House as Assistant to the President in 2001, the firm kept its familiar moniker, The OB♦C Group. The OB♦C Group specializes in advocacy before the Legislative and Executive branches of the Federal Government. The firm provides strategic counseling, project management, direct communication with senior government officials, members of Congress and congressional staff, and monitoring of public policy and political events and activities. The firm also assists clients in the coordination of their public policy and public relations strategies.
