The Land Conservancy of New Jersey is a nonprofit, member-supported land trust dedicated to preserving natural land and water resources across the state. As an accredited organization in the environmental services sector, it works to build environmental resilience and address the climate crisis through permanent conservation. Founded in 1981 as an all-volunteer effort, it has safeguarded about 28,000 acres of open space through partnerships with 100 municipalities in 13 counties and is based in Boonton, New Jersey.

Its work serves municipalities, landowners, and partner organizations seeking enduring protection of natural resources and public access. It has partnered with the Hunterdon County Agriculture Development Board and with Indigenous communities, including the Ramapough Lenape Nation, to steward lands, including additions to the Ramapo Mountain Preserve. Recent reports describe ongoing land acquisitions, such as plans to secure 123.3 acres in the Wildcat Ridge Management Area.
