The Kempe Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1976 and based in Aurora, Colorado. It provides education, advocacy, and fundraising support for The Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect. It collaborates with policy makers, human service agencies, child advocacy groups and other nonprofits locally, nationally, and globally to prevent child abuse and neglect and to aid victims. The Kempe Center carries out its work through four CARE pillars—clinical care, advocacy, research, and education—advancing a public health approach to child abuse and neglect. It is described as the only organization of its kind to partner with a children's hospital and a research university on these issues. In March 2025, the Kempe Center released the Farley-Kempe Policy Brief on Child Safety Online, focusing on age verification.
