The Heart & Hand Center is a Denver-based nonprofit offering after-school and summer programs for about 100 underserved youth in Northeast Denver, spanning grades 3 through 12. The organization uses a whole-child approach with long-term, intensive support across academic enrichment, social-emotional skills, health and wellness, creative expression, and family engagement. It provides a stable, nurturing environment where students are known and supported day after day, year after year, and operates a safe, supervised space during times when youth face higher risk of engaging in harmful behaviors. In addition to youth programming, the center works with families to provide emergency shelter referrals, school supplies, job placement assistance, and emergency funding. Based in Denver, Colorado, the organization is recognized as the Small Nonprofit of the Year in May 2025.
