The First National Bank of Williamson is a community-oriented bank based in Williamson, West Virginia. Its origins go back to 1903 when it was chartered as The First National Bank of Williamson, tied to the Williamson family's role in establishing the city. The institution has remained part of the local fabric through decades of hardship, including the 1970s explosion that heavily damaged its building and floods in 1977 and 1984, with rebuilding in between. The bank expanded over the years, renovating the adjacent Hobbs building in 1987 to enlarge the lobby and adding a drive-thru location on 4th Avenue, and later opened a branch in Pikeville, Kentucky in 2005. In 2018, Charley McCoy was named president and CEO for banking operations, marking a leadership change. The bank remains focused on serving financial needs in the coalfields region, maintaining a local presence in Williamson and its surrounding area.
