The American Friends of Migdal Ohr is the US-based development arm of Migdal Ohr, a nonprofit education and social services network established in 1972 in Israel. Based in New York City, the organization operates within the education administration sector, supporting programs that address the basic needs of at‑risk and orphaned youth, as well as education, vocational training, mentorship, and emotional and medical support. Its activities focus on serving children in Migdal Ohr’s campuses and related programs, with a mission to nurture dignity and contribution in the youths it reaches. The group positioning reflects a humanitarian education nonprofit model connected to Migdal Ohr’s broader Israel-focused work, and it has engaged in initiatives such as LeadOhr to cultivate a new generation of supporters. Recent activity includes participation in community outreach events and collaboration with partner organizations to expand its charitable reach from its New York base to donors and volunteers in the United States.
