Textile Center is a Minneapolis-based organization in the Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos sector that focuses on textile art and seeks to honor textile traditions, promote excellence and innovation, and inspire widespread participation in fiber art. Founded in 1994, its facility opened in 2001 in Minneapolis' Prospect Park neighborhood, housing four fiber art galleries, an artisan shop, an auditorium that accommodates large events for up to 300 people, classrooms, a circulating textile library, a professional-grade dye lab, and office space. Anchor tenants include the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, with more than 30 member organizations renting space for meetings and events throughout the year. The organization is located at 3000 Southeast University Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55414, United States, and employs between 11 and 50 people. In September 2020, Textile Center launched a series of quilt exhibits focused on racism, civil rights, and victims of police brutality in collaboration with the Women of Color Quilters Network.
