Tempel Lipizzans operates within the performing arts space, showcasing Lipizzan horses in the United States. Founded in 1958 by Tempel and Esther Smith, the venture began when they brought 20 Lipizzan horses to promote classical riding and is based in Old Mill Creek, Illinois.

It currently maintains what it describes as the largest privately owned Lipizzan herd in the world and is the sole location where these horses are bred, trained, and perform on a single property. Its offerings include matinee and evening performances and behind-the-scenes tours. It also provides rental space for special events, private performances, horse sales, and training.
