Tekton Ministries was founded in 1996 by Richard Sontag, after his own pilgrimage changed the course of his life. In the thirty years since, Tekton has guided more than 20,000 pilgrims and over 1,000 priest- and lay-led groups to the Holy Land, Medjugorje, Lourdes, Rome, the Camino de Santiago, Marian shrines across Europe, and sacred sites around the world. Every Tekton pilgrimage is led by a Catholic priest. Daily Mass is celebrated at the holy sites. The Sacraments are offered throughout. Your shepherd travels with you. We partner exclusively with Christian and Catholic guides who can speak to the spiritual significance of every site, not just its history. We build time for silence, prayer, and reflection into every itinerary — pilgrims don't race through sites with a checklist; they linger in the presence of grace. Our work is centered on serving priests, deacons, and parish leaders who feel called to lead their communities on pilgrimage. We handle every detail — flights, hotels, meals, ground transportation, registration — so the shepherd can focus entirely on his people. The name Tekton comes from the Greek τέκτων, the word Scripture uses for St. Joseph. Craftsman. Builder.
