The Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool) is the information-focused unit of Syracuse University, located in Syracuse, New York. Founded in 1896 as a library school and renamed in 1974 to reflect a broader information field, it offers undergraduate and master's degrees as well as doctoral programs. The school centers on understanding users and their information needs as the starting point for integrating information and technology into organizations. It has long been a leader in online education, delivering many master's programs in campus and online formats for more than 25 years.
