Founded in 2014, Summit Health Management was created based on its successful management of Summit Medical Group (SMG), the largest and oldest physician-owned multispecialty medical practice in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, and among the largest in the nation.  From 2014 – 2019, Summit Health Management (SHM) offereds comprehensive physician group practice management services to medical groups, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and hospital-employed physician networks, including Summit Medical Group-NJ, Summit Medical Group Oregon, and Summit Medical Group Arizona. 

In 2019, a unique health care organization was created when Summit Medical Group (SMG), one of the nation’s premier independent multispecialty medical groups, and Summit Health Management (SHM) merged with CityMD, the leading urgent care provider in the greater New York area. Today, the combined Summit CityMD company is leveraging its strengths to expand access to a full spectrum of high-quality health care services in the NY/NJ metropolitan area and provide patients with a consistent, exceptional experience.
