Founded in 2007, Steve's Camp at Horizon Farms is dedicated to empowering urban youth to develop healthy bodies, hearts, and minds, and ultimately to emerge as leaders in their schools and communities.

The camp experience is the point of departure of our work: every summer, over 100 underserved urban teens spend twelve days at a beautiful working farm in upstate New York. Camp broadens our students' realm of experience, and gives them a break from the routines and stresses of their day-to-day lives. Team-based challenges, farming and cooking workshops, and other camp activities allow participants to develop critical socioemotional, leadership, and life skills.

These skills are deepened through our school year programming. Through after-school and weekend programs, campers stay connected to the camp community and plan for their lives after high school.
