Stephen Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Omaha, Nebraska, founded in 1984. It partners with the community, families and individuals to address homelessness, addiction and poverty in the region. The organization operates three programs: Emergency Shelter for men, women and children; the HERO Program, a state-licensed substance abuse treatment center that also serves individuals with co-occurring mental illness; and the Transitional Living Program, which provides independent housing after completing treatment. The Emergency Shelter is described as the only dry shelter in the Omaha metro area. 

In addition to its core programs, Stephen Center expanded with Stephen Center Thrift in Omaha, which provides jobs and training for clients, offers vouchers for store purchases, and uses all proceeds to support the organization’s mission. The group has engaged in community partnerships, including a 2023 collaboration with IAMS, Inc. to participate in its annual shoe drive.
