Statewide Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative operating in the banking industry. It is based in Flowood, Mississippi, and traces its origins to 1949, when Bob Ashley founded it as the Jackson USDA Federal Credit Union to serve USDA employees in the state. The organization expanded beyond that group through a series of mergers, beginning with the Mississippi Educational Credit Union in 1990, and ultimately adopting the Statewide name in 2000 to reflect its broader membership. 

Today, Statewide serves more than 80 membership groups and over 17,000 members, making it one of the largest credit unions in Mississippi. It emphasizes conservative, member-oriented leadership and maintains strong financial ratings.
