St. Louis ArtWorks is a nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, Missouri, founded in 1995 through a collaboration with local institutions to provide arts-based apprenticeship opportunities for underserved youth. The organization combines arts education with workforce development training and 21st century life skills, including fiscal literacy and professional communication, to help young people prepare for further education and employment. Operating within the retail art supplies sector, ArtWorks focuses on bridging economic, racial, and social divisions by offering access to traditional and digital art making spaces and related opportunities. In 2015 the program relocated to a larger facility in the Loop East, expanding its studios, a MakerSpace, and a pollinator patio to enhance hands-on learning.
