Spy Hop Productions is a nonprofit media arts and education center based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 1999, it provides hands-on, project-based programming in film, music, audio, and design for youth ages 9-19, aiming to help participants develop skills, tell their stories, and pursue paths in the digital media arts. The organization combines positive youth development with arts education and career preparation to empower young people across Utah, including Salt Lake City, and to support their personal and community impact, regardless of prior experience. With a focus on mentoring and access to equipment and space, Spy Hop seeks to broaden opportunities for young creators and foster voices that contribute to positive change. A recent development includes launching a gear check-out system to facilitate free equipment use during classes, reflecting ongoing efforts to expand access to its programs.
