SPHERE manufactures environment-friendly packaging products for households, professional users, and local authorities, including refuse bags, produce bags, freezer and cooking bags, reusable bags, and disposable tableware, as well as films and papers for food contact and aluminum trays. It is described as a European leader in household packaging and bio-compostable materials, with a development focus on eco-responsible solutions spanning more than two decades. Founded in 1976, SPHERE is a French family group based in the Paris region and led by John Persenda.

The company serves general consumers, professional users, and local authorities mainly across Western Europe, supported by private labels, an innovation program centered on BIOTEC, and national brands such as ALFAPAC in France, FRIO in Italy, VITA in Denmark, and PROPSAC in Benelux. SPHERE operates fifteen production sites in Europe, eight of them in France, and produces around 150,000 tonnes of bags annually; in April 2026 it unveiled SPHERE PRO at Interclean Amsterdam to streamline its professional offering.
