SparkPlug is a San Francisco-based software company that provides an incentive-management platform for frontline workers in complex consumer packaged goods categories such as beauty, electronics, and outdoor gear. The platform allows brands to reward the in-store influencers who influence purchases by paying cash for each sale they generate, using gamified commissions, contests, and goals. In these industries, consumers rely on point-of-purchase recommendations up to 92% of the time, and SparkPlug links that influence to tangible incentives tied to daily sales.

Its offerings target consumer brands and retailers seeking to boost frontline performance while ensuring compensation aligns with the sales impact of individual workers. A recent development is a partnership with Toast Tab to bring its incentive approach to the restaurant sector.
