Sparkasse Hanau is an independent municipal banking institution that operates as a non-profit, public-law entity serving the city of Hanau and the surrounding region in Hesse, Germany. It was established on 1 January 1991 through the reorganization of the Stadtsparkasse Hanau and Landesleihbank Hanau with Kreissparkasse Hanau. The bank is supported by the Sparkassenzweckverband Hanau, which includes the City of Hanau and the Main-Kinzig-Kreis, and it participates in the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe Hessen-Thüringen. The Girozentrale for its regional network is the Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen. In 2021, Sparkasse Hanau announced a partnership with Mastercard to implement secure payment systems at eight e-charging stations at its office parking facilities.
