Spangehl Higher Education Associates provides the guidance and direction institutions need to realize accreditation objectives, student outcomes improvement, and institutional effectiveness. We empower effective governance by assisting with strategic planning, policy development, process design, self-evaluation, and outcomes assessment. Spangehl Associates works with institutions to develop strategies for innovation and development. We directly support all accreditation and compliance needs -- conducting self-studies, evaluating evidence, preparing reports, and coaching staff and faculty for visits -- and provide quality assurance for institutional efforts through review, revision, and evaluation of internally prepared materials. We also provide expertise to develop approaches to assessment -- of learning objectives, student outcomes, internal operations, and governance processes. The common goal of all our consulting and assistance services is to strengthen the underlying institutional systems to improve effectiveness and enable long-term success. Our Principals are Stephen D. Spangehl, Ph.D, (who spent 21+ years with the Higher Learning Commission of NCA, founding the AQIP program, and has extensive administrative and teaching experience with many institutions) and Jason L. Spangehl, J.D. (who has extensive experience in for-profit university administration, instruction at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels, legal and regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and accreditation processes).
