As the World's Premier Gateway to Space, Space Launch Delta 45 delivers assured space launch, range and combat capabilities for the nation. Control of the battlefield begins here. Our mission can be broken down into four areas: Eastern Range operations, launch operations and support, expeditionary and contingency readiness, and base and people support. The Space Launch Delta 45 Eastern Range operations team provides the activities and resources for safety of flight, range instrumentation, infrastructure, and scheduling required to support and assure space and ballistic launches, and other operations. The Space Launch Delta 45 launch operations and support personnel provide reliable launch infrastructure, launch teams, and seamless partnership with launch and satellite programs. The Space Launch Delta 45 expeditionary and contingency readiness personnel provide trained people, equipment, and processes ready to support wartime and contingency operations. In order to support the base and our people, Space Launch Delta 45 maintains the base infrastructure, provides health care services, security, information systems, morale/welfare activities, workforce safety, human resources, financial services, logistics services, and environmental stewardship to support present and future missions.
