Sovereignty First, LLC is a Boulder, Colorado–based organization in the civic and social sector with a focus on governance and stability. Since 2012, it has partnered with the U.S. stability operations and nation-building community—working with entities such as the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction, the U.S. Army War College, and the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy, along with other peacebuilding NGOs—and with active and retired diplomats, generals and colonels, politicians, and social impact investors to develop tools that strengthen self-governance, improve the effectiveness of stability operations, and support investments in politically and culturally opaque countries with weak rule of law and weak contract enforcement.
