Southwestern Community College District is a public higher education institution based in Chula Vista, California, established in 1961. It is the southernmost higher education institution in San Diego County and one of California's 113 public community colleges, located on a 156-acre campus between the city and the U.S.-Mexico border. The college serves around 20,000 students each semester and offers more than 320 associate degrees and certificates, along with noncredit courses through its Continuing Education department.

Its mission centers on enabling students to earn an associate degree, transfer to a four-year college, or gain new occupational skills to meet regional needs, serving a South County population of more than 400,000 with thousands of staff. A notable recent development is the completion of a nearly $10 million tennis center on campus, featuring eight tennis courts and eight pickleball courts, reflecting ongoing investments in campus facilities.
