Southern Nevada Conservancy is a Nevada-based non-profit organization that provides visitor services at some of Nevada's most popular public lands, based in Las Vegas. It traces its roots to Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association, formed about three decades ago to help locals and visitors connect with Red Rock Canyon. After a series of name changes, the organization now operates across five sites and serves millions of visitors. With Clark County's growing population, local public lands attract higher visitation, increasing pressure on natural and cultural resources and on federal agencies tasked with managing them. The Conservancy's work is to ease that strain by guiding visitors and students through the history and science behind these places and by promoting stewardship of public lands.
