SEFLIN is a nonprofit membership organization that unites libraries across Southeast Florida to foster cooperation among all library types. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, it was established in 1984 and is one of Florida's five Multitype Library Cooperatives. The group focuses on supporting cooperative activities and developing innovative services that benefit library staff and library services. SEFLIN’s work includes forming partnerships with external organizations to extend library services to communities, such as collaboration with FIU's School of Social Work to provide social services to library patrons in the Miami-Dade Public County Library System. It serves libraries throughout the Southeast Florida region and acts as a coordinating hub for sharing resources and best practices. The organization operates with a very small staff, reflecting its nonprofit, regional cooperative model.
