The South Carolina Cancer Alliance is a collaborative nonprofit based in Columbia, South Carolina, focused on cancer prevention, early detection, and improving treatment for those affected. Founded in 2003, it brings together more than 800 members from the medical community, academic institutions, nonprofits, and community groups to shape statewide cancer response. Every five years, members develop the South Carolina Cancer Plan, which guides the state's cancer-related activities. The alliance organizes six workgroups—covering breast, cervical, colon, prostate, and lung cancers, plus policy and advocacy and health disparities—to carry out projects and allocate annual funding to implement the plan. In 2021, it partnered with Flightct to sponsor a fundraiser supporting childhood cancer awareness and research.
