The Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) is a Washington, DC-based non-profit professional organization whose members provide dermatologic care or have an interest in dermatology. As a 501(c)(6) entity, it aims to advance the DermPA practice through education, advocacy, leadership development, and engagement, while supporting high-quality educational and professional development opportunities for its members. Founded in 1994, SDPA has grown to more than 4,800 members and stands as the largest specialty organization within the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). Fellows are physician assistants who provide medical services with the collaboration of a board-certified dermatologist.
