Hatched in 2014, Sleeping Duck was founded by Melbourne-based engineers Winston Wijeyeratne and Selvam Sinnappan. Frustrated by the expensive, tedious, and confusing process of buying a bed, the duo decided to roll up their sleeves and literally make their own bed (so as to then lie in it).

The hunt for the right mattress is stressful enough to keep anyone up at night. With so many models, firmnesses, and emerging technologies, we felt it was time to bring a good night's sleep back to basics. So we put all our effort into designing one (yes, just one) seriously comfortable mattress. We continuously research, design, test and implement improvements based on customer feedback, so we're pretty comfortable in saying that our pursuit of the perfect mattress is... tireless.
