Skydance is a diversified media company based in Santa Monica, California, founded in 2010 by David Ellison to deliver high-quality, event-level entertainment for global audiences. It creates and produces stories across feature films, television, and interactive platforms, aiming to bring immersive worlds to life. Its feature-film slate includes titles such as Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Star Trek Beyond, and World War Z, with additional upcoming releases including Top Gun: Maverick, Gemini Man, The Old Guard, 6 Underground, and an untitled Terminator project. Skydance expanded into television with Skydance Television in 2013, whose series have included Grace and Frankie on Netflix, Altered Carbon on Netflix, Jack Ryan on Amazon, and Condor on AT&T Audience Network. In 2017 the company formed Skydance Animation to develop high-end feature films and television series in partnership with Spain’s Ilion Animation Studios. Skydance Interactive was launched in 2016 to create original and IP-based virtual reality experiences and video games, debuting Archangel as its first original title.
