Singer Safety Company/Rensel-Chicago, Inc. was established in 1950 as manufacturer of Industrial Safety Equipment. Singer Safety has national recognition and focuses on the niche area of "Industrial Barrier Protection". Products are most often used in retrofit applications and are designed for protection from Industrial hazards of heat, dust, flak, sparks, flash, molten metal and unwanted noise. Included are portable safety screens, track and roller partitions, strip doors and a wide range of industrial noise control products. In several of its product lines, Singer Safety Company has been an innovator and pioneer in response to growing concerns about safety in the work-place in the 1950's and 1960's. In industrial noise control, it was the developer of a unique line of basic products used today to reduce the harmful effects of industrial sound.
