Shoreline Arts Alliance serves as the Arts Council for 24 shoreline communities in Connecticut, United States, a role it has fulfilled for nearly four decades to strengthen the region’s cultural landscape through programs, advocacy, and arts access. It supports arts education in schools, mentors emerging artists toward careers in the arts, and sponsors statewide juried competitions and performances. In response to the Covid pandemic, the organization shifted many activities to virtual formats and co-led a series of online webinars with the Yale School of Public Health to provide science-based safety guidance for reopening arts venues, attracting a national audience. It continues to offer student scholarships and mentoring while launching new programs such as Expressions in Art for high school students, maintaining active participation across its 24 shoreline communities.
