Shanty Creek Resorts is a mid-sized hospitality operator based in Bellaire, Michigan. The property comprises four distinct villages and a range of year-round amenities, including five championship golf courses, 42 downhill ski runs on Schuss Mountain, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, multiple dining options, and more than 36,000 square feet of conference facilities. These offerings support both leisure guests and business events, positioning the resort as a nearby Up North Michigan destination. The organization emphasizes a people-focused culture, aiming to foster an environment where staff talents are developed and guests receive attentive, old-fashioned hospitality. Its guiding principles prioritize the guest, ethical behavior, and building lasting relationships with guests, neighbors, and the surrounding environment. In April 2026, Pattah Development acquired Shanty Creek, marking a notable change in ownership and continuing the resort's presence in the regional hospitality landscape.
