The Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) is a public higher-education institution in Colombia with legal personality and autonomous administration, operating under the Ministry of Labor. It provides free training across technical, technological, and complementary programs aimed at supporting economic, technological, and social development and strengthening the competitiveness of the country’s productive sectors. The organization also runs a Public Employment Agency that connects job seekers with employers at no cost and has done so for more than thirty years. SENA is authorized to conduct labor intermediation activities in Colombia and abroad, and it focuses on improving the employability of vulnerable populations. Headquartered in Bogotá, the institution announced a 2020 partnership with Oracle Academy to enhance graduates’ digital skills, including software programming.
