When Servco opened its doors nearly 100 years ago, the primary business focused on the automotive industry. As the company’s reputation for excellent service grew, Servco diversified at an unprecedented rate in the 1970’s acquiring, among other companies, American Insurance Agency (AIA) that primarily served the Hawaii marketplace with insurances services. AIA remained a leader in the insurance services industry with offices throughout Hawai‘i including O‘ahu, Maui and Hawai‘i Island. In 2002, Servco renamed American Insurance Agency to Servco Insurance Services (SIS). In 2010, SIS expanded to Washington with a primary focus on marine-related business. Over the next several years, the company opened new offices in Tacoma, Washington and Newport, Oregon and expanded its services with lines in aviation, professional liability, hospitality, construction and employee benefits. Recently, it was named one of the Pacific Northwest’s 100 Fastest Growing Privately-held Companies. In 2014, SIS rebranded to Servco Pacific Insurance (SPI) to better reflect the company’s reach throughout the region. Today, SPI is one of the top brokerage firms in the U.S. that enjoys providing clients with service capabilities on an international scale, yet maintains the personalized expertise of a boutique firm.
