SELT - Southeast Land Trust of NH is a nonprofit environmental services organization that conserves and steward lands across southeastern New Hampshire, prioritizing public access, farming, wildlife habitat, drinking water protection, healthy forests, and scenic views. Based in Epping, the group serves 52 communities and has preserved nearly 25,000 acres since its founding in 1980, through land protection and ongoing stewardship. Its work targets communities and individuals seeking preserved landscapes for recreation, ecological health, and local resources, addressing needs related to access to nature, sustainable land use, and habitat conservation. In the broader land trust sector, SELT operates among regional organizations focused on conservation and trails development, including efforts to create and maintain trail networks and trailhead infrastructure. A recent collaboration with Stratham and SELT’s ongoing stewardship initiatives illustrate its active role in regional conservation partnerships.
