Seacoast Science Center, based in Rye, New Hampshire, is a mid-sized museum and science center focused on ocean conservation. It delivers programs and exhibits that help people of all ages understand ocean health and how everyday choices affect it. Since 1992, the center has connected visitors with the Gulf of Maine through live animal exhibits and hands-on experiences addressing topics from undersea exploration to marine debris. The center operates the SSC Marine Mammal Rescue Team, one of roughly 100 federally authorized responders along the New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts coast, contributing data for research and public education. In addition to rescue work and exhibits, SSC hosts community events such as Rescue Run and Music-by-the-Sea, and its work has been recognized with a 2024 GDUSA award for an aquarium exhibit.
