Save the Elephants is a Nairobi-based research organization focused on securing a future for Africa’s elephants. The group conducts scientific studies on elephant behavior, intelligence, and long-distance movements, applying these insights to practical conservation challenges and elephant survival. In addition to research, it engages in education and outreach to foster local stewardship of the region’s wildlife and heritage. The organization operates within the research services industry and sits at the intersection of science, conservation, and community engagement, including human–elephant conflict mitigation projects such as beehive fences that help farmers protect crops and create alternative income sources. It also supports an Elephant Crisis Fund intended to identify effective partners and strategies across Africa and in ivory-consuming nations to curb poaching and trafficking.
