Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) is a full-service maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider for civil and military aircraft, and one of the largest and most experienced MROs in the MENA region. It is wholly owned by Saudi Arabian Airlines Holding, and is headquartered at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, in the Mecca region of Saudi Arabia. SAEI's main base in Jeddah handles wide-body aircraft up to B747-400 and B777, with plans to expand hangars to accommodate A380s. Drawing on more than 59 years of activity and a large workforce, the company provides maintenance support for Saudia's fleet, its affiliates, and other local, regional and international airlines with integrated MRO services. SAEI holds ISO 9001:2000 certification and has approvals from aviation authorities including GACA, FAA, EASA, CAACI and IOSA to provide airframe, line, engine and component maintenance. Its capabilities cover repair and overhaul of a broad range of components, including aircraft engines and APUs, supported by ATEC 6000 test equipment and a standalone engine shop. In addition to servicing Saudia and its affiliates, SAEI's client base includes other airlines, and the company has pursued partnerships such as a 2023 collaboration with Ubisense Group to develop a real-time digital twin of hangar operations.
