We are a community-based organization dedicated to strengthening and enriching the educational experience of San Leandro’s children and youth; We believe our efforts to support public schools ultimately strengthens and enriches our community as a whole, and prepares so many young minds for tomorrow’s challenges.

SLED’s Mission

Our mission is to identify and mobilize local, regional and national resources in order to bring increased funding, innovative programming and strong partnerships to San Leandro Unified School District’s public schools.

Our focus areas are:

          o Positive Youth Development; supporting programs that help students grow into confident, compassionate adults.
          o S.T.E.A.M Enrichment; providing hands-on experiences that inspire students to explore science, technology, engineering, art-design, and mathematics.
          o Community Engagement; linking caring adults to students.
