Founded in 1978, the San Francisco Girls Chorus and its Chorus School provide choral music education and performance opportunities for girls and young women aged 7-18 in the San Francisco region. The program draws more than 360 singers from 160 schools across 44 Bay Area cities and has earned international recognition as a model for training girls' voices by the California Arts Council. Each season, the organization presents a full concert slate, tours nationally or internationally, and regularly collaborates with major artistic partners, including the San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Symphony.

Based in San Francisco, California, the organization operates at 44 Page Street, Suite 200. In 2024, Seth Ducey was named executive director, with the appointment effective September 30, 2024.
