Saint Patrick High School is a private, all-male Catholic high school located in Chicago, serving the Chicagoland area. Founded in 1861 by the Christian Brothers, it is recognized as the city’s oldest Catholic high school for boys. In 1953 the school moved to its current Belmont and Austin site to accommodate a growing population, and the distinctive round building was completed in 1956. Since then the campus has expanded with facilities such as a swimming pool and a handball court, and the leadership structure shifted to a President/Principal model in 1987 with a Board of Trustees established in 1990. Within the primary and secondary education sector, Saint Patrick High School operates as a single-sex Catholic secondary school, focusing on the education of young men in Chicago and surrounding areas. A notable development in 2023 is a partnership with the Technology & Manufacturing Association, described as a first-of-its-kind private school partnership in Chicago.
