Sail Newport, Inc., established in 1983, is a nonprofit organization based in Newport, Rhode Island. It operates what is widely regarded as New England’s largest public sailing center and is considered Rhode Island’s premier public sailing site. Located at Fort Adams State Park, the facility offers affordable public sailing instruction and rental programs, plus a one-design sailing setup with hoists, dinghy docks, ramp-launching, storage, and ample free parking for recreational sailors.

Its mission is to promote and operate accessible public sailing instruction and rental programs, creating opportunities to introduce new participants to the sport. In recent developments, Sail Newport expanded its fleet with fourteen J/7 sailboats for public programs and has engaged in activities such as attendance at the Newport International Boat Show and a collaboration with the Ocean Recovery Community Alliance.
