Based in Washington, D.C., the Rumsfeld Foundation is a small nonprofit that supports leadership development, public service, and the promotion of liberty in both domestic and international contexts. It focuses on two areas—Public Service and Greater Central Asia—and aims to create opportunities for rising leaders while honoring service to the nation. To advance its mission, the foundation runs the Graduate Fellowship Program, which provides financial support and year-round programming for exceptional graduate students pursuing careers in public service. It also administers the CAMCA Fellowship Program, bringing rising leaders from Central Asia, Mongolia, the Caucasus and Afghanistan to the United States for an intensive exchange that fosters intraregional cooperation and strengthens U.S.–CAMCA ties. Recent activity includes hosting the 13th Annual Graduate Fellowship Network Conference in Washington, D.C. in September 2025 and organizing a Women’s Leadership in National Security, Defense and Public Service event in December 2025.
