Roberts + Rogers Wines is a small wine producer based in Santa Rosa, California, focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. The founders, Roger Louer and Robert Young, began the project in 1999, with a vineyard jointly developed in 2000; the Howell Mountain site sits east of St. Helena at elevations between 1,400 and 2,200 feet. The initial Roberts + Rogers Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon came from the 2004 vintage and was released in 2007 in a limited run of about 300 cases. In 2009, Louer produced the Louer Family Reserve Cabernet from his personal estate in St. Helena, using the best barrels from a 34-acre estate for a select group of friends, and it has sold out prior to release in recent years. Roberts + Rogers is preparing to release the 2012 vintage under the R+R label for the first time. The company operates within the beverage manufacturing industry, with a focus on small-batch Cabernet Sauvignon drawn from Howell Mountain grapes and related vineyard developments.
