Richstone Family Center is a nonprofit organization in the individual and family services sector, established in 1974 and based in Hawthorne, California. Since its inception, the center has focused on child abuse treatment and prevention, expanding from serving a small number of families to offering a broad range of programs for children from birth to 18 and for parents across generations, including extended families. The organization serves communities in the southwest corner of Los Angeles County and the Greater South Bay, operating across multiple sites and programs to address high-need family needs with a long-standing commitment to directing the majority of its revenue toward direct services. A notable development in recent years includes recognition as a neighborhood family center in the Los Angeles area and the addition of facilities and outreach, such as a satellite office in Torrance and a Transitional Living facility. In 2018, Richstone received a substantial grant from the Every Child Foundation, reflecting continued community support for its mission.
